First time using the iPad!!!
I’m at an apple store in Salem right now using one of the display ipads… And it’s awesome! Using it in horizontal mode right now, not bad, but I find myself typing with only six fingers… The pinkies are left out so it looks like I’m being all proper or something! It does take the keyboard to portrait without hiding the kb… Typing with just thumbs is almost...

When it comes to the iPad, negative reviewers are...
Every negative review I’ve seen has the reviewer looking at the device with nothing but preconceived notions of what a tablet computer should be, but those notions are based on decades of failed devices. Every one of them thinks they know what the iPad “should” have been. Every one of them saying that the lack of an SD reader (built-in), the lack of USB, a camera, a desktop...

iPhone & iPod Touch App Reviews
In the very near future, if my attention permits, I will be posting iPhone & iPod Touch Application Reviews.  At the moment I’ve only got an iPod Touch to work with, so all the GPS/Camera/Microphone based apps will have to remain on the ‘shelf’ as it were. I might also be more inclined to do the reviews if I were to receive requests in this posting’s comments page. ...

Excuses, excuses...
I must apologize to anyone who is following this ‘blog for the lack of updates.  I’ve recently gotten a bit busy with work and gaming and computing. With work, I’ve been getting a lot more hours, which is a good thing for my paycheck, not so good for my blog/gaming. As far as Gaming goes, I’ve gotten lost in GTA IV, having finished it 2 times (to get the alternate...

I’m gonna be working on it for a little while, and I’m gonna have to work around any spoilers, but it will be here.  Someday.

Some Wisdom of Douglas Adams...
Excerpt from “So Long and Thanks for all the Fish” by Douglas Adams. Regarding Sirius Cybernetics Corp. and it’s products:  “It is very easy to be blinded to the essential uselessness of them by the sense of achievement you get from getting them to work at all.  In other words, and this is the rock solid principal on which the whole of the corporations galaxy-wide success...

Pre-Review of Frontlines: Fuel of War
This article was most recently seen in the comments section of my first ‘Blog post, but the one person to whom I writ it, didn’t read it.  So, it is with a light heart that I move it here.  Enjoy:I’ve not yet played the full version of Frontlines: Fuel of War so I can’t make a judgement call just yet. I have, though, played the Online Multiplayer Demo as downloaded from the...

Hiatus Explained
I’ve been away from the Blog for the sake of work.  The ‘Home Electronics’ aren’t going to sell themselves! Compiling ‘Reasonably Stupid’ Questions for more substantial Q & A sessions. Just picked up Rainbow Six: Vegas 2 for the Xbox 360, so you can expect a full review upon it’s completion. Just hang in there, there’ll be more on the way!

XBox 360 Review: The Orange Box
Written by me, as seen on GameLobby.com (http://www.gamelobby.com/forums/showthread.php?t=240) [Updated 20080307]  Half-Life 2: Well, for starters, there’s the three-quarters complete Half-Life 2 saga. The only time I’d actually played Half-Life 2 before was on the Original XBox While getting glowing reviews for being “Half-Life 2,” it was still just barely there in the...

The Major Announcement!
I think I’ve decided what I’m going to do with this ‘blog.  I work for a well known (in the pacific northwest) retail outlet in the Home Electronics department.  I meet people every day who have reasonably stupid questions.  That is, they have questions that they think are stupid, but in all actuality are very reasonable. I like helping people learn new stuff about tech, so this...
